The Prime Minister

The Prime Minister was the highest executive official who took orders just from the Emperor, at the same time, bore the vital responsibility of offering advice which may not be pleasing. This book introduces eight Prime Ministers with different characters, some were witty and some upheld loyal and righteous. As we all know, Zhuge Liang(諸葛亮) was the most accomplished strategist of the Three Kingdoms period for his “bend to a task and spare no effort unto his dying day” spirit; while Wen Tianxiang(文天祥) of Southern Song Dynasty would rather die than submit to the new Emperor despite being seized and tortured. Their wisdom and virtues are enduring and still enlightening us today.
