The Beauty

In the male-dominated Chinese society, there was no lack of heroines breaking the curse of “A woman who lacks talent is virtuous” and strived for their own fate or even be the saviour of the country by utilizing their beauty, wisdom or courage. One of the Four Beauties in feudal China, Xi Shi(西施) saved her country by sacrificing herself and getting married to the enemy, while Hua Mulan(花木蘭) joined the army and fought for the country on behalf of her father. Each and every story of the heroines moved us deeply.
